This is a sponsored post on behalf of USFG for Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament review. Thoughts and experience is entirely our own.

During this time of year we are so busy that it's important to spend quality time with family members. Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is a great place to come together for delicous food and great entertainment. If you've never been to Medieval Times and have always wanted to go this is the perfect time to grab tickets at a discount price to give as a gift or attend with family.

Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is held at a beautiful location outside of Chicago in Shaumburg, IL . Their locations look just like a real castle perfect setting for Medieval Times. My kids always can spot it from the expressway and scream with excitement when they see it. Upon entering we were given crowns and VIP Lanyards and table cards for seating location. This visit we were given the BLUE KNIGHT and Table 2 in the front row.

The ambiance is set in Medieval Times with Knights, a Princess, a King, handsome Narrator with an amazing voice, Horse riding and Medieval Games and food that you eat with your hands.

The Knights riding out on horses is really beautiful to see. They come dressed as Knights and Squires and it's almost breathe taking. I really love the time period and it gives my kids insight to a bit of history and the way they dressed during thes Medieval Times.

During the show your greated by a server and served a meal. My 8 yr old gasped at a few of the names. Baby Dragon taste like Chicken, Dragon Toes taste like Potatoes, Dragons ears taste like corn. Corn! My son was extremely excited to hear that there was corn.

Prior to serving this delicious meal we also were given Garlic Bread and Tomato soup (Dragons Blood). Everything was cooked perfectly and the chicken was really plentiful. We were able to take left overs home. For dessert a pound cake. Soft and moist with a slight Lemon flavor.
The show included Knight games that were sure to entertain. Jousting to spear throwing, one-on-one battles with swards and medieval weapons. Edge of your seat battles that have you cheering for your Knight to win the games.
We love cheering on the Blue Knight. He did pretty well in the games but unfortunatly he lost in the hand to hand combat battle. My kids were a bit disappointed in the loss but like my one son said "You win some. You lose some." He's right. Although our knight lost this time we have had knights that have won the games. Cheering for the Knights is fun and it's great to see how they battle eachother and who wins.
Be sure to check out our previous visit to Medieval Times just two years ago. We did a few other tasks before and after the show that were fun so you might want to check those out as well.
Few Fun Facts:
* All Knights begin their training as Squires - just as they did in the Middle Ages - learning horse care, sword fighting, and weaponry. It takes a minimum of six months of training to become a Knight.
* Knights perform with real metal weapons and wear authentic armor. During battle scenes, real titanium swords create sparks.
* Every shield must be repainted after every show.
* When jousting, the Knights charge at speeds of approximately 15 to 20 miles per hour and reach an impact velocity speed of about 30 to 40 miles per hour.
* Each year, 25 foals are born at Chapel Creek Ranch, where they spend two years training.
* Our horses enjoy retirement at the ranch after 15 to 20 years of performing.
* 125,000 gallons of soup are served each year.
* 400,000 gallons of Pepsi are consumed each year.
* Each arena is filled with about 4,455 cubic feet of sand - about the load of 10 dump trucks.
* Medieval Times is the #1 breeder of pure Spanish horses in North America.
